Asha Parekh, who made her Bollywood debut with the 1959 film Dil De Ke Dekho, also fell in love during the shooting of her first film; That too from the producer of the film. Yes, the producer of this film was Nasir Hussain, who has made films like ‘Teesri Manzil’, and ‘And Phir Wahi Dil Laya Hoon’. Asha Parekh had fallen in love with this Nasir Hussain. Couldn’t express love for fear of breaking up the family
Asha wrote in her autobiography that she worked in seven films with producer Nasir Hussain. Despite being in love with her, she never thought of getting married because she did not want to be a ‘housewife’. Since Hussain was married, Asha could not express her love for fear of breaking the family and remained alone for the rest of her life. In a conversation with another magazine, the Dadasaheb Phalke Award-winning actress said that living alone was probably one of the best decisions I have taken.
