Despite being in love with her, she never thought of getting married because she did not want to be a ‘housewife’. Since Hussain was married, Asha could not express her love for fear of breaking the family and remained alone for the rest of her life. In a conversation with another magazine, the Dadasaheb Phalke Award-winning actress said that living alone was probably one of the best decisions I have taken.
