⏩ Rumor of recruiting 20 lakh people

Moscow. There are reports that Russian President Vladimir Putin is going to impose martial law in major cities including Moscow. At the same time, Putin is going to recruit about 20 lakh people in the army so that Ukraine can re-establish Russia’s ending supremacy in the war. About 3 lakh women will be recruited for this. Although Putin’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov denied any such imminent announcement on Friday, the Russian president has not signed the necessary decree to end the first wave of military recruitment, fueling the news.

According to the Daily Mail, spokesman Dmitry Peskov has said that Putin’s address in which he will make big announcements is not true. On the other hand, President Zelensky of Ukraine has again warned Moscow. Zelensky has said that for a permanent solution to the war, Russia should withdraw its troops from all occupied territories. In recent months, there were reports of Putin’s health deteriorating and now there is also a rumor that he is leaving the post of President and handing over his power to someone.

Martial law after mobilization
General SVR Telegram channel has reportedly said that about 20 lakh people are going to be recruited, out of which 3 lakh will be women. In addition, mobilization is planned to coincide with the introduction of martial law, said Putin-watcher Valery Solovyov, a former professor at Moscow’s prestigious Institute of International Relations. This is to extend martial law either to the whole of Russia or to a significant part of its territory including the capitals of Russia – Moscow and Saint Petersburg.
Who will replace Putin?
There is a rumor that Sergei Kiriyenko may get Putin’s place. Right now Sergey Kiriyenko is the authoritarian deputy chief of staff of the Russian President. He is also a former PM. Apart from this, the name of Agriculture Minister Dimitri Patrushev has also come to the fore. He is the son of Nikolay Patrushev, Putin’s staunch security chief.
What is martial law?
In any country or region where martial law is imposed, the governance of that place comes into the hands of the army instead of the general public or the government. For this reason, it is also called Military Law or Army Act. As soon as this law is implemented, civil law is removed from the country or region, and the control of the army starts. During this, the army has many rights. The army does not have to take the permission of the citizens, the government or the ministers to take any step. People are taken away from their civil rights.
Anyone who speaks against martial law, or incites people against it, is immediately arrested. The army can keep someone in custody for any length of time. During martial law, only the army decides any justice.
