Samsung made a record in the festive season, selling smartphones worth Rs 14,400 crore
There has been a 178 percent increase in the sales of the company’s 5G smartphones.

Consumer electronics company Samsung sold smartphones worth about Rs 14,400 crore during September and October in India. The company has registered almost 99 percent growth in the premium category of smartphones in the first three quarters of the current year. From January to September, the company’s 5G smartphone sales increased by 178 percent.
Aditya Babbar, Senior Director, and Product Head, Samsung India, said, “Samsung has set a record in the festive season this year. He said that this growth is in double digits as compared to last year’s festive season. He said that the company’s scheme Samsung Finance Plus was one of the major reasons for the increase in sales. Sales have picked up in major cities as well as in Tier 2 and 3 cities. The company has grown by almost 99 percent in terms of value in the premium segment of smartphones priced above Rs 30,000.
The company says that Samsung is the fastest-growing brand in the premium segment in the country thanks to the S22 and foldable phones. According to a Counterpoint Research report, Samsung was the second largest smartphone company in India in terms of volume with an 18 percent market share in the July-September period. Recently, Samsung sold 1.2 million Galaxy smartphones worth more than Rs 1,000 crore on the first day of online festive sales of e-commerce companies Amazon and Flipkart. The company reduced the prices of Galaxy series smartphones by 17 to 60 percent for this sale.
Samsung Galaxy smartphones were among the most liked devices due to the great offers on Amazon and Flipkart. In terms of value, the company sold more than Rs 1,000 crore worth of Galaxy devices in a single day. The company had reduced the prices of Galaxy S20 FE 5G, Galaxy S22 Ultra, Galaxy S22, Galaxy M53, Galaxy M33, M32 Prime Edition, and Galaxy M13 for sales. The company had given discounts ranging from 17 to 38 percent for the premium S22 series of Galaxy.
