New Delhi. The Indian Air Force successfully test-fired the supersonic missile BrahMos ER (Extended Range) on Wednesday. This will increase the country’s strategic attack capability. The BrahMos missile was fired from the Sukhoi-30 fighter jet at the ship target deployed in the Bay of Bengal, which the missile accurately hit. The defense officer gave this information on Thursday.
This is the first test on a target in the sea. Earlier, successful testing has been done on the ground target. The firepower of the extended range of BrahMos is close to 400 km. The defense official said that it was a test of the anti-ship version of the air-launched version of the missile.
