He suspended the account of a 20-year-old user just because he used to track the movement of Musk’s private jet. However, it was not spying because the user got information about it from a public platform.
In fact, Musk was following this user for a long time and has already told him to close his account. It has also been said in some media reports that Musk had also tried to buy the user and when things did not work out, his account was suspended. This account named @elonjet is run by 20-year-old Jack Sweeney. To close this account in 2021, Elon Musk offered Sweeney $ 5,000 (about Rs 4 lakh), which Sweeney turned down.
After this, Elon Musk also offered to give $ 50,000 (about Rs 41 lakh) to Sweeney to close the account. Sweeney claims that Musk tried to contact him several times to close the account. Sweeney turned down Musk’s offer. Now after buying Elon Musk’s Twitter, Sweeney’s account @elonjet has been suspended.
Allegation of violation of rules
According to a Moneycontrol report, now on opening this Twitter account with @elonjet username, a message written “Account suspended” is visible. Along with this, it is also being written that the account has been suspended for violating the rules of Twitter. Musk bought Twitter for $ 44 billion about a month and a half ago. He is continuously making many changes in this company.

Jack Sweeney was running a Twitter account since 2020 under the @elonjet username. Sweeney told Bloomberg, “On opening my account, I saw a message that my account has been suspended forever. It was written in the message, ‘After careful review, we found that your account has violated the Twitter Rules. Your account is now permanently in read-only mode.
Notice not received
Sweeney, who is studying at the University of Central Florida, told that he has not received any notice from Twitter through email or any other means. Expressing displeasure, Sweeney said that Elon Musk had spoken of the full support of freedom of speech while buying Twitter, but he has not lived up to his word.
