Sobhraj was convicted for the murder of two foreign women in Nepal and sentenced to life imprisonment i.e. 20 years. After being in jail for 19 years, the Supreme Court of Nepal has ordered the release of Sobhraj on the basis of jail rules and laws of Nepal. But the court has also ordered the deportation of Sobhraj within 15 days.
After the court’s order, the officials of the Immigration Department started preparations to extend Sobhraj’s visa and send him back to France. According to the department, after getting the certificate of Sobhraj’s stay in jail and the written information about his decision to deport from the court, his visa period will be extended first. By extending the visa deadline for 15 days, he will be deported from Nepal to France.
This is Sobhraj’s next plan
