The ending of the isolation rule is being seen as a major U-turn by China. An administration led by President Xi Jinping that relied on a now-defunct zero-covid policy that included quarantines, mandatory testing, and draconian lockdowns to stem the spread of infections is now reopening its country to the rest of the world Used to be.

The latest move comes at a time when rural Chinese cities are struggling to cope with an explosion of infections. To save the world from showing the deteriorating condition of Corona, China has stopped reporting the daily Covid count. Now, The Global Times has reported that no Covid test will be done on international arrivals. The report states that only passengers with fever or other flu-like symptoms will be subjected to antigen tests at airports. It is believed that China is doing this so that the message goes to the world that the condition of Corona is normal in their country.

China’s health commission said restrictions were eased to make it easier for some foreigners to enter the country, although this did not include tourists. It signaled that Chinese citizens would gradually be allowed to travel abroad again for tourism, an important source of revenue for hotels and related businesses in many countries.
