Meanwhile, Dyson, a premium range product maker, has brought such a unique purifier, which hardly anyone would have imagined. Actually, Dyson has launched the world’s first wearable air purifier, fitted with over-ear headphones.
The Dyson Zones are a set of noise-canceling, high-fidelity over-ear headphones that simultaneously deliver immersive sound to the ears and pure airflow through the nose and mouth. It is a unique wearable device of its kind with a bridge-like mask, which connects both the cups of the headphones.
Compressors in each ear cup of the Dyson Zone draw air through a dual-layer filter and project two streams of purified air into the wearer’s nose and mouth through non-contact visors.
The fitted returns on the visor ensure that the purified air is kept close to the nose and mouth, and is diluted as little as possible by external crosswinds.
With Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), the headphones are claimed to deliver rich and immersive audio. Dyson says the headphones deliver up to 50 hours of audio battery life, comparable to top performers in the field. But if you also use an air purifier, then this time is reduced to about four hours.
If you turn it on, the company says the filtration system can capture 99% of particulate pollution and can be adapted based on air quality using a smartphone app.
Surprising price
Talking about the price, there is no information about its availability in India, but the delivery of the company’s wearable air purifier will start in January 2023. The price of the Dyson Zone Air Purifying Headphone starts at $ 949 (about Rs 78,000).
