The number of tourists in Manali can be gauged from the fact that about 25,000 vehicles have passed through the Atal Tunnel in the last two days. In three days this figure is close to 35 thousand.
According to information, hotels in Manali are fully packed due to the ever-increasing number of tourists. Tourists are also reaching Lahaul Spiti in large numbers. Bollywood actors are also coming to Manali. Apart from Kapil Sharma, singer Guru Randhawa, and actress Yogita also reached on Monday.
According to the Lahaul police, from 24 December to the morning of 26 December, around 30,000 vehicles crossed the Atal Tunnel in Manali. Let us tell you that there was snowfall on Monday also near Atal Tunnel and Rohtang Pass. Because of this, traffic was stopped near Solanganala. On the other hand, Kullu District Police has deployed 150 additional police forces to regulate traffic during New Year and Winter Carnival. SP Kullu Gurudev Sharma said that 150 police and home guard personnel have been deployed at various places to ensure that the traffic system runs smoothly during the New Year and Winter Carnival. Apart from this, traffic will also be regulated with CCTV cameras and drone cameras.
Scramble for parking
SP Kullu said that tourists coming from outside states should park their vehicles in the marked parking lot so that there can be no traffic-related problems. The SP told that blockade has been done at Bajaura, the entrance gate of the Kullu district. Here every vehicle entering the district is checked.
