Shreyas and Ravichandran Ashwin forged a match-saving partnership of 71 runs as India defeated Bangladesh 2-0 in the Test series.
In the second Test, ShreyasIyer put in a magnificent performance. He steered India away from the brink of defeat to secure an x-wicket victory over Bangladesh in Dhaka. The visitors won the series by a clean sweep. Shreyas was unbeaten at 29* while Ravichandran Ashwin partnered him with a crucial 42*. The duo completed the 145-run chase, the side being reeling at 74/7 at the end.
India suffered a disappointing batting order collapse when the top 3 of Shubman Gill and KL Rahul were dismissed on 2, 7, and 6. Axar Patel was promoted to the no.4 spot in order to guarantee a left-right combo during the final hour. He scored 34 runs. Virat Kohli was also a casualty on the third day.
