Let us tell you that on Monday, the health officials of China announced the death of 2 people due to Covid-19 infection. This death was reported in recent weeks amidst a wild increase in coronavirus infection after the relaxation of the restrictions imposed under the ‘Zero-Covid‘ policy in the country.
However, in several unofficial reports, quoting relatives of Covid-19 infected and people involved in funeral work, there has been talk of an increase in deaths. While before Monday’s two deaths, China had not reported any death from Covid-19 on 4 December.
At the same time, the Wall Street Journal has told in its report that in recent days one of Beijing’s cremation grounds fixed for Covid-19 patients has been filled with dead bodies. There has been a surge in cremations at the Beijing Dongjiao crematorium on the eastern edge of the Chinese capital, according to people who work at the complex, WSJ reports.

Funerals are going on round the clock. 2000 dead bodies are waiting for cremation. Does this sound familiar?
