Giving information about the incident, the ADGP of Kashmir said that out of the 3 local terrorists killed, 2 have been identified. The terrorist, Latif Lone, was a resident of the Shopian district, who was involved in the murder of Puran Krishna Bhat, a Kashmiri Pandit. The other terrorist was Umar Nazir of Anantnag, who was involved in the murder of Til Bahadur Thapa of Nazir Nepal. 1 AK-47 rifle and 2 pistols have been recovered from the terrorists.
It was told that when the police were conducting the search operation, the terrorists opened fire on the security forces. After this, the security forces also retaliated and in no time three Lashkar terrorists were killed. At present, the police are still running the search operation.
