According to the report of D&P Advisory, the value of IPL 2022 has increased to $10.9 billion. A year ago in 2021, it was $ 6.2 billion. The T20 league was started in 2008. The media rights of IPL were sold for $6.2 billion in the past. The T20 league has also benefited from this. A total of $1.6 billion was bid on Gujarat Times and Lucknow Super Giants. A jump of about 16 times was seen in it. If we look at the broadcasting fees of each match, then IPL is the second largest sports league in the world. The auction for the current season is going to be held on 23 December. During this, an amount of about Rs 200 crore will be spent on the players.
