Along with this, the country surprised everyone by making a big announcement on Monday. North Korea has claimed that it has conducted an ‘important and final stage’ test of a spy satellite. Which he will complete by April of 2023.
According to the news agency AFP, North Korea’s official media KCNA has issued a report in this regard. The report comes a day after the South Korean and Japanese armies reported the North’s launch of two medium-range ballistic missiles toward their east coast. KCNA said the test, conducted at the Sohae Satellite Launching Station in the northwestern city of Tongchang-RI, was aimed at reviewing the country’s capability of satellite imaging, data transmission, and ground control systems.
A spokesman for NADA said via KCNA that North Korea has achieved great success. The spokesperson said that we confirm that we have made great achievements in critical technology such as camera operating technology in the space environment, data processing and transmission capability of communication equipment, and tracking and control accuracy of the ground control system.
Significantly, despite international sanctions, North Korea has conducted an unprecedented number of missile tests this year. It also includes the Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM). It has been designed to reach the US mainland, bypassing international restrictions. On the other hand, on Thursday, another missile was tested at the Sohe Satellite Launching Ground in North Korea. It has been used to test missile technologies including rocket engines and space launch vehicles.
