Taking lessons from the incident in which 15 devotees lost their lives in the Mata Vaishno Devi Bhawan accident on midnight of January 1, 2022, the Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board has taken several important decisions. In these, meetings have been held with the police, SMVDSB cadre, and security agencies. It has been said that now no passenger will be allowed to visit Mata without an RFID card. For this, passengers will have to register in advance.
Every time on New Year (31st December), the crowd of passengers in Vaishno Devi becomes very high. To avoid any accident this time, the Shrine Board has taken several important decisions. The rules that the Shrine Board has implemented for the devotees reaching Vaishno Devi have made the Kovid protocol completely mandatory during the yatra. In this, without wearing a mask, no one will be allowed to attend the Aarti of Mata and have darshan. The passenger must have a mask during the journey.
CCTV surveillance for security
Taking special care of security during Vaishno Devi Yatra, around 500 3D CCTV cameras have been installed. The distance of 50 meters has been named a sector. The duty of jawans has been imposed in each sector, in which police, CRP jawans along with the Shrine Board will be deployed.
Entry will not be available without an RFID travel card
The Shrine Board has made RFID travel cards mandatory for devotees to visit Vaishno Devi. 50 thousand devotees will be allowed to travel in 24 hours. The board administration has created 6 sectors for this, including the base camp Katra, Banganga, Tarakot, Bhairav Valley, Vaishno Devi Bhawan, Ardhakumari Charan Paduka, and deputy CEO level deployment of board administration will be there in each sector.
Control rooms built at these places
Control rooms have been set up at places like Tarakotmarg, Ardhakumari, Banganga, etc. It has been made mandatory to go out on the way of Durga Bhavan under construction after darshan.
