London. Britain’s London High Court rejected Nirav Modi’s application to appeal against the extradition of Nirav Modi to the Supreme Court of Britain. On November 9, the High Court gave the green signal to his extradition to India.

Only last week, the Indian authorities responded to a petition by the British Supreme Court seeking permission to appeal against the extradition order of fugitive diamantaire Nirav Modi. The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS), fighting a legal battle on behalf of the Indian government in the UK courts, filed its reply in the court against 51-year-old Nirav Modi’s appeal. The way of extradition is not completely clear
Nirav Modi can appeal in the European Court of Human Rights. It is believed that the path of extradition to India is clear, but there may be some difficulties in it. Last week, the High Court reprimanded Nirav’s lawyers and said that showing suicidal tendencies in Nirav cannot be the basis for avoiding extradition.
