America also agreed with India’s stand on the Russia-Ukraine war, said- We will obey PM Modi 

When asked about India’s role in preventing the Russia-Ukraine war, the US State Department spokesperson said, “Any country that is interested in joining the peace and ending this (Russia-Ukraine) war” maintains, it should do so in close partnership with Ukrainian partners.

Washington: The United States on Friday once again welcomed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s stand on the Ukraine conflict, calling for an end to all forms of violence and to follow the path of diplomacy. Vedant Patel, Principal Deputy Spokesperson of the US State Department, said during a press conference, ‘We will accept PM Modi’s words as he has said. And when those things happen, those comments will be welcome. Other countries will take their own decision on engagement with Russia. We will continue to coordinate with allies to minimize the effects of the war. Patel made the remarks in response to a question on India’s position on the Russia-Ukraine conflict and PM Modi’s call to end the war.

Earlier in September, on the occasion of the SCO summit in Samarkand, PM Modi had told Russian President Vladimir Putin that ‘today’s era is not of war’. He also stressed the need to find ways to solve the problems of food, fuel security, and fertilizers. When asked about India’s role in preventing the Russia-Ukraine war, the US State Department spokesperson said, “Any country that is interested in joining the peace and helping to end this (Russia-Ukraine) war” If interested, it should do so in close partnership with Ukrainian partners.’ Worth noting that, hours after Prime Minister Modi had a telephone conversation with Vladimir Putin on Friday, the US State Department issued this statement. Comment came. 

Regarding PM Modi’s telephonic conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin, his office said in a statement, “After their meeting in Samarkand on the sidelines of the SCO summit, the two leaders reviewed several aspects of bilateral relations, including energy cooperation.”, trade and investment, defense and security cooperation and other key areas.’ In the context of the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, Prime Minister Modi called for dialogue and diplomacy as the only way forward. The PMO said, “The Prime Minister briefed President Putin about India’s current Chairmanship of the G-20 and highlighted its key priorities.” He also hoped that the two countries would work together during India’s chairmanship of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation. Both leaders agreed to be in regular touch with each other.
