The story recounts the life of IAF Squadron Leader Vijay Karnik who braves all odds to complete his mission of rebuilding Bhuj Air Base with the help of 300 local women. The film, released last year, was made against the backdrop of the 1971 India-Pakistan war.
The Akshay Kumar starrer war film Kesari was directed by Anurag Singh. The film’s plot follows the events of the Battle of Saragarhi, in which 21 Sikh soldiers in the British Indian Army fought in 1897. Fought against the war with 10,000 Afridi and Orakzai tribesmen.
