According to the Washington Post report, this advanced electronic equipment kit includes a global positioning device for accuracy and can be mounted on different types of weapons. It is called the Pentagon Joint Direct Attack Munition or JDAM. It is known that the US Army has used this technique on bombs up to 2,000 pounds.
