BJP’s plan
BJP has made a plan that party workers will identify 5,000 minority people from the selected 60 Lok Sabha constituencies who appreciate Prime Minister Modi or his welfare programs, and with their help will reach out to their community. The BJP will organize a scooter yatra and a sneh yatra in March-April. According to sources, this outreach program will culminate with a public rally of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi in May. People from 60 elected Lok Sabha seats will participate in this rally.
Which Lok Sabha seats to focus on
Out of the 60 Lok Sabha seats identified by the BJP, there are 13 seats each from Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal. There are 5 seats from Jammu and Kashmir, 4 from Bihar, 6-6 from Kerala and Assam, 3 from Madhya Pradesh, 2-2 from Telangana and Haryana and 1-1 from Maharashtra and Lakshadweep. The West Bengal constituencies in the BJP list include Behrampur (64 percent minority population), Jangipur (60 percent), Murshidabad (59 percent), and Jaynagar (30 percent).
In Kerala, the BJP’s major focus
is on the list from Bihar in Kishanganj (67 percent), Katihar (38 percent), Araria (32 percent), and Purnia (30 percent). While the parliamentary seats in Kerala where the BJP will focus are Wayanad (57 per cent minority), Malappuram (69 per cent), Ponnani (64 per cent), Kozhikode (37 per cent), Vadakara (35 per cent), and Kasargod (33 per cent). The seats in Uttar Pradesh include Bijnor (38.33 percent), Amroha (37.5 percent), Kairana (38.53 percent), Nagina (42 percent), Sambhal (46 percent), Muzaffarnagar (37 percent), and Rampur (49.14 percent).
