New Delhi: Does cardiac arrest also occur due to fire? This question is also because such a shocking case has come to light in America, where five people including 4 children have suffered cardiac arrest due to a fire in an apartment and due to this they are hospitalized. A 28-year-old man and four children aged 1, 3, 12, and 14 were knocked unconscious after an apartment fire in the US state of Indiana and then hospitalized in critical condition after cardiac arrest.
US Fire Department Battalion Chief Rita Reith said firefighters performed CPR on five victims and transported them to hospitals. This incident is on Tuesday. He said, ‘Within 10 minutes of entering the apartment after the fire, firefighters had removed five victims from that apartment and all of them were given CPR, as they were unconscious due to cardiac arrest.
Officer Reith said the blaze started late Monday at the apartment on the city’s far east side and was under control within a minute of firefighters arriving. He said that we do not know from which part of the apartment the fire started. He said that the victims were asleep when the fire broke out. The 28-year-old man is the father of a one-year-old and a three-year-old girl. The remaining two victims are boys.
Let us tell you that this incident is also important because the cases of cardiac arrest are continuously increasing in the country and the world. It has been seen on many such occasions that some have lost their lives due to cardiac arrest while dancing, some while walking and some while doing gym. Actually, cardiac arrest happens suddenly and a person loses his life within a few minutes. There are no visible symptoms in this. It is more dangerous than a heart attack. Before a heart attack, a person starts having severe chest pain. Apart from this, some symptoms are seen when a heart attack comes, whereas in cardiac arrest everything happens suddenly.
