Mumbai. Rajkumar Santoshi’s upcoming film ‘Gandhi Godse: Ek Yudh’ has been embroiled in controversies ever since the trailer was released. On Friday, when the filmmakers were promoting the film, they had to face opposition from some people. People disrupted the promotion event of the film. He showed black flags to the makers. The protest had increased so much that the makers’ police had to be called. The protesters claimed that the film undermines the legacy of Mahatma Gandhi and glorifies his assassin, Nathuram Godse.

The story of the film ‘Gandhi Godse: Ek Yudh’ has been written by Rajkumar Santoshi and he also directed it. This film shows the duality of two opposing ideologies between Gandhi and Godse. During the media program, the protesters sitting among the media persons waved black flags and raised slogans of ‘Mahatma Gandhi Zindabad‘.

The protesters alleged that through the film ‘Gandhi Godse: Ek Yuddh’, Rajkumar Santoshi was trying to glorify Nathuram Godse, the man who assassinated Gandhi on January 30, 1948. Although the makers did not try to convince the protesters much, when they did not agree, the police had to be called.
