New Delhi. The Indian cricket team got a crushing defeat in the first match of the T20 series being played against New Zealand. Batting first, the visiting team scored 176 runs for 6 wickets and then restricted the Indian team to just 155 runs. New Zealand got a 1-0 lead in the series with a 21-run win. The second match is going to happen only after a day. Captain Hardik Pandya will have to take some big decisions but the time is very short for this.
After losing the first match of the three-match T20 series, now it is necessary for India to win the second match to get the trophy. In the one-day series under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma, India is seeing something similar to what Team India did to New Zealand. By winning two consecutive matches, the team is looking close to making an unassailable lead in the series. Hardik will have to plan better with coach Rahul Dravid. The mistakes of the first match will have to be rectified.
Hardik will have to take an important decision
In the first match of the T20 series, India’s bowling was very poor in the end and due to the looting of runs, a big target came in front of the team. After the match, Hardik himself admitted that 20 to 25 runs were wasted by the Indian bowlers. The way the openers performed in the batting order and after that, the lower order lost wickets at the wrong time, this has to be avoided. Ishaan Kishan, Shubman Gill, Rahul Tripathi, and Hardik Pandya will have to play big innings.
Team India will be on the field again in 24 hours
After playing the first T20 match, the Indian team will be on the field again after 24 hours of rest for one day. The first match was played between India and New Zealand on Friday. On Sunday at seven in the evening, both the teams will play in Lucknow for the second match. Saturday is the day for Team India to plan and practice accordingly.
