BCCI says that at present no replacement is being announced in place of Jasprit Bumrah. That is, Captain Rohit Sharma will have to handle the fast battery along with the rest of the squad Mohammad Shami, Mohammad Siraj, Umran Malik, and Arshdeep Singh.
Jassi is suffering from a stress fracture
Bumrah had suffered a ‘stress fracture’ of the waist after the England tour and could not play in the Asia Cup and T20 World Cup last year. It will not be surprising if Bumrah plays all four matches of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy starting on February 9.
