Kapil Dev on Rishabh Pant Car Accident: Veteran former India captain Kapil Dev has reacted to Rishabh Pant’s car accident, in which the wicketkeeper-batsman suffered multiple injuries. The former Indian captain also said that cricketers need to take care of themselves.

New Delhi. The entire cricket world is in shock after Rishabh Pant’s accident. After Rishabh Pant’s car accident, cricketers from India and abroad have given their reactions. Current and former cricketers have wished Rishabh Pant a speedy recovery. Meanwhile, 1983 World Cup winner Kapil Dev has said that Rishabh Pant can hire a driver. Kapil Dev has said that he understands that youth like him are very obsessed with luxury cars and do not care about speed. 

Kapil Dev has said how Rishabh Pant could have hired a driver for himself, who could have avoided this accident that happened to him. The 25-year-old cricketer has claimed that a pothole was the cause of the accident. However, in the statement of the Uttarakhand Police, it has been said that Rishabh Pant had dozed off while driving. Amidst all this, Kapil Dev has said that Rishabh Pant should take care of himself as he has a long career ahead of him. 

Kapil Dev said on ABP News, “This is a lesson. When I was a budding cricketer, I had to face a motorcycle accident. From that day onwards my brother did not even let me touch the motorcycle. I am just thankful to God that Rishabh Pant is safe. 

He further added, “Yes… you have a good-looking car with great speed, but you have to be careful. You can easily afford the driver, you don’t need to drive it alone. I understand that one has a hobby or a passion for such things, it is natural at one’s age, but you have responsibilities too. Only you can take care of yourself. You have to decide things for yourself. 

Let us tell you that Team India’s star batsman Rishabh Pant met with a horrific car accident in the early hours of Friday, December 30, when he was traveling to his hometown Roorkee in Uttarakhand. His car suddenly hit the divider and caught fire. The cricketer broke the window of the car to get out of the car, after which the bus driver and conductor of Haryana Roadways, who immediately reached the accident spot, helped him.
