Actor Hawkeye Jeremy Renner injured himself in an accident with a snowplow during New Year’s Eve, when his home was home in Washoe County, Nevada.
It is reported that actor Jeremy Renner, known for his role as Hawkeye in Marvel films, is in a “critical but stable state” after suffering an injury during a snow plowing session in Nevada’s Reno on New Year’s Day weekend. He was transported by air to a nearby hospital following the accident.
The Oscar Award-nominated actor, who has recently appeared as the Mayor of Kingstown in The Mayor of Kingstown, was at home in the vicinity of Mt. Rose-Ski Tahoe in the days leading up to New year’s eve. The area saw a major Winter storm during New Year’s Eve with around 35,000 homes across northern Nevada’s Washoe, Carson, Douglas, and Lyon counties without the power supply for almost a full day in the event of a power outage, as per the report. The incident occurred on the Sunday of the holiday, and the victim was taken to the hospital nearby.
It is unclear where exactly the accident hasn’t been released as of yet. At present, the actor is with his family and getting “excellent care,” said his spokesperson. “We can confirm Jeremy is in critical but stable condition with injuries suffered after experiencing a weather-related accident while plowing snow,” the spokesperson told Variety.
Jeremy Renner was nominated for a Best Actor Oscar in 2010 for Kathryn Bigelow’s The Hurt Locker, and after that, he earned an award for Best the role of Supporting Actor consecutively in the following year’s The Town. The actor will next be seen on the screen in The Mayor of Kingstown, which will be a streaming show in the US on Paramount+. Season 2 is expected to launch on the 15th of January.
