Delhi Mayor Election: Hearing will be held in Supreme Court on February 3, BJP alleges AAP is running away from elections 

Delhi Mayor Election: The hearing of the petition filed regarding the election of Delhi Mayor will now be held on 3 February. Senior advocate Abhishek Manu Singhvi took up the petition filed by Aam Aadmi Party’s mayoral candidate Shaili Oberoi before a bench of Chief Justice DY Chandrachud and Justice Dipankar Dutta. After which the CJ I said that this petition will be heard on 3 February.

Delhi. The hearing of the petition filed regarding the election of Delhi Mayor will now be held on February 3. Senior advocate Abhishek Manu Singhvi took up the petition filed by Aam Aadmi Party’s mayoral candidate Shaili Oberoi before a bench of Chief Justice DY Chandrachud and Justice Dipankar Dutta. After which the CJ I said that this petition will be heard on 3 February.

Let us tell you that in the petition, the issue of delay in the mayor’s election has been raised and it has been said that despite calling the MCD House twice, the election has not been held yet. On the other hand, the BJP has accused the Aam Aadmi Party of running away from the elections. Significantly, the meeting was called for the Delhi Mayor election on January 6 and January 24, both elections could not be held due to the uproar among the councilors. After this petition has been filed on behalf of the Aam Aadmi Party.
