Guwahati. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Bishwa Sharma on Saturday asked who is Shahrukh. On the question of reporters in Guwahati on Saturday, the Chief Minister of Assam said, ‘Who is Shahrukh? I don’t know anything about him and his film.
Media persons had questioned the violent protest by Bajrang Dal workers, in which they created a ruckus in a cinema house located in Narengi of the city on Friday. Actor Shah Rukh Khan’s film ‘Pathan’ is to be screened in this theatre. The volunteers of the radical organization tore the posters of the film and burnt them.
The Chief Minister said, ‘Khan has not talked to me regarding this problem, but many people from Bollywood talk to me. If they talk, I will look into the matter. If law and order have been violated then action will be taken.
The film ‘Pathan‘ is facing criticism for showing actress Deepika Padukone in a saffron bikini in the song ‘Besharam Rang…’. Many leaders, including the Vishwa Hindu Parishad, have demanded a ban on the film.
When reporters told the chief minister that Shah Rukh Khan was a Bollywood superstar, Sharma said the people of the state should be concerned about Assamese films.
