Uproar over Ram Rahim’s online Satsang in Punjab, Congress asks curfew to be stopped

Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee (SGPC) is preparing to move the High Court against the parole of Dera Sacha Sauda chief Ram Rahim, on the other hand, Baba Ram Rahim is sitting in an ashram in UP and preparing to do Satsang in Punjab. According to the information, the Dera chief will connect online with his followers at Dera Salabatpura in Bathinda from Barnawa Ashram in UP and give discourses to them. The administration has also given permission to conduct Satsang on 29th January. The politics of Punjab has also heated up regarding this program of Ram Rahim and his program is being opposed.
Ram Rahim is in the headlines after coming out on parole for 40 days and Congress has also strongly opposed his program in Punjab. Former Punjab Deputy CM Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa has said that the state government should stop online gatherings by imposing a curfew. He said that Ram Rahim is trying to spoil the atmosphere of Punjab and the government should understand this.
The SGPC has also decided to file a petition in the High Court against the Haryana government for providing protection to the head of Dera Sacha Sauda. SGPC President Harjinder Singh Dhami said that Ram Rahim has hurt the religious sentiments of the Sikhs by cutting the cake from Kirpan to celebrate his parole. The kirpan is considered a symbol associated with the Sikhism faith and its insult cannot be tolerated.
