New Delhi. Former US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo in his book ‘Never Give an Inch: Fighting for the America I Love’ has made a wrong comment on India’s former Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj. He has written that Sushma Swaraj was never an important political player. Reacting strongly to this, India’s External Affairs Minister Jaishankar (EAM S Jaishankar) said that he strongly condemns the derogatory words in the book. Although Jaishankar has been praised a lot in this book.
Former US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has made many controversial comments about Sushma Swaraj in the book. He has claimed that after India’s surgical strike in Pakistan’s Balakot in 2019, both countries were very close to nuclear war and this was given to him by the then External Affairs Minister of India, Sushma Swaraj. Sushma Swaraj was the External Affairs Minister of India from May 2014 to May 2019, she died in August 2019.
