According to the news agency Reuters, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has announced to increase in his investment in Pakistan to $10 billion. Salman has also asked the Saudi Development Fund to conduct a study on increasing the amount of Saudi deposits in the Central Bank of Pakistan to five billion dollars. He had earlier announced the investment in the year 2022 as well. After this, in December, the cash deposited by Saudi Arabia in the central bank was increased.
It may be known that last week Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar dismissed the possibility of default. At the same time, he had said that Saudi Arabia is going to give a new loan soon and talks are on with China regarding the loan as well.
