His name is Surendran K Patel, who is a resident of Kerala in India. Surendran K Patel had to travel a long way to reach this position. The story of Surendran Patel’s life is so struggling that every Indian must know it. Surendran K Patel was sworn in as District Judge in the 240th in Fort Bend County, Texas on January 1.
Please tell that Surendran K Patel was born in a poor family in Kasaragod, Kerala. Daily wages were the source of family’s income. In such a situation, Surendran also had to do wages for his expenses during his studies in school and college. To earn money, he started working in a beedi factory. Surendran’s sister also helped in the work of filling tobacco in bidis and then packing them. Due to this, the family used to earn a decent income.
Had to leave studies in 10th
There came a time in Surendran’s life when he had to leave his 10th standard studies, but soon he took admission in the school again and started dreaming of making a career in the field of law. Due to his job, many times he could not go to college to study, but his friends continued to help him in making notes.
Debarred from appearing in college
Surendran was barred from appearing in the examination due to poor attendance in the college. After which Surendran requested his professor to allow him to appear in the examination. If the numbers are not good, then they can stop me from coming to college further. After this the professors allowed him to appear in the examination and Surendran topped the college.
Admission in law university with borrowed money
After completing college, Surendran wanted to take admission in Law University, but he did not have that much money. After this, he took admission in a law university by borrowing money from his friends. In the year 1995, Surendran Patel completed his law degree and started practicing in Hosdurg, Kerala. Later he started working in the Supreme Court in Delhi.
Had to go to America because of wife
Surendran’s visit to America has been quite interesting. Actually, Surendran’s wife is a nurse. In the year 2007, got a chance to work in a famous hospital in America. After which Surendran moved to Houston with his wife and children. Here he again studied afresh to practice law in America and graduated in 2011.
Got citizenship in 2017, became judge in 2022
Surendran K Patel got US citizenship in the year 2017. After this, he made his first attempt to become a district judge in the year 2020, but did not become. After this, again in the year 2022, he tried to become a district judge and was successful.
