New Delhi: North-central and north-west India, which is facing severe winter and cold wave, has been witnessing strong sunlight since last one week. Western Disturbance is over Western Himalayas and other fresh Western Disturbances can reach Western Himalayas from 23rd January. Due to this, the blowing of snowy winds from the high hilly areas towards the plains has stopped. People have got relief from the melting cold for the time being. However, the Meteorological Department has now expressed the possibility of rain. According to IMD, there may be light to moderate rains in North India including Delhi-NCR next week. Cold winds can blow in Delhi, Haryana, Punjab and western Uttar Pradesh.
According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, this period of rain will continue till January 26. There is a possibility of light rain in many areas of Delhi-NCR, Chandigarh and Haryana between 23 and 26 January. Means the shadow of rain is looming even on Republic Day . According to IMD, from the night of January 21 to January 26, the Western Disturbance will remain active. Its effect can be seen in the plains as well as in the high hilly areas. Moderate rain with snowfall may occur in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand on January 21 and 22. At the same time, there will be an increase in such activities between 23 and 26 January.

The Meteorological Department told that on Saturday i.e. January 21, people will get relief from the cold and the weather will also be clear. Due to sunshine, the maximum temperature of the day can be 23 and the minimum temperature can be 10 degree Celsius. There will be a feeling of cold in the weather but there will be no chill, due to which people will feel a lot of relief. According to IMD, the minimum and maximum temperature in the national capital Delhi from January 23 to 27 is expected to be around 11 degree and 22 degree Celsius respectively. During this time it will be cloudy, there will be drizzle and strong winds will blow. However, due to this, there will not be much difference in temperature.

Light rain may occur in parts of Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Delhi, Northwest UP, South Coast of Andhra Pradesh and North Coastal Tamil Nadu.North West and Central IndiaThere may be further rise in the minimum temperature. At the same time, during the last 24 hours, there was light to moderate rain and snowfall in Ladakh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttarakhand. Light rain occurred at one or two moderate places over eastern parts of Haryana. Light rain occurred in parts of north Punjab, north Rajasthan, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and north coast of Tamil Nadu. Day and night temperatures further increased over the northwest, central and eastern parts of the country, reducing the cold wave conditions from all places.
