Aam Budget 2023: Before the coming of the general budget, Union Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary said that this time’s budget will be according to the expectations of the general public keeping in mind all sections of the society. Chaudhary said that elections keep on coming. In the budget of 2023-24, the focus will not be on elections but on improving the economic condition of the people.

New Delhi. Union Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary said that this time the general budget (Union Budget 2023) will live up to the expectations of every section of the society. PM Narendra Modi’s government has always worked in the interest of the people of the country. Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chowdhary said that this time’s budget will be in line with the expectations of the general public keeping in mind all sections of the society. Chaudhary said that elections keep on coming. In the budget of 2023-24, the focus will not be on elections but on improving the economic condition of the people.

The general budget is going to be presented in the Parliament today. Earlier, the Central Government presented the Economic Survey on Tuesday. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the Economic Survey before the budget in the Parliament after President Draupadi Murmu’s address in the joint sitting of both the Houses of Parliament. The Economic Survey gives information about the state of the economy and various indicators in the current financial year 2022-23 (April-March) and the outlook for the next year. The Economy Survey also gives some indications about the General Budget for 2023-24 to be presented today. This time’s budget may be the last full budget of PM Narendra Modi’s government before the next Lok Sabha elections to be held in April-May of 2024.

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman’s budget speech will start at 11 am. Apart from getting relief in income tax for individuals from the General Budget 2023, there are also expectations to intensify measures to promote various sectors of the economy. Policy makers and industry people are also keeping an eye on the fiscal impact of the budget on the economy and the budgeted disinvestment target for the financial year 2023-24. It is noteworthy that last year, the government had set a total disinvestment target of Rs 65,000 crore for the current financial year 2022-23. Of this, the government has so far raised about Rs 31,000 crore by selling its equity in central public sector enterprises.
