New Delhi. Australia’s Test team led by Pat Cummins has reached India for the 4-match Test series to be played under the Border Gavaskar Trophy. Although the team’s experienced opener Usman Khawaja has not reached India with the Kangaroo team. This is because he has not yet got India’s visa, due to which he could not come with the team. This batter of Pakistani origin has expressed his pain through social media. 

36-year-old left-hand batter Usman Khawaja has shared a picture of the famous TV series ‘Narcos’ on his official Instagram page. In the picture, actor Wagner Mora, who played the role of Pablo Escobar in this series, is thinking something while sitting on a swing. Usman Khwaja wrote the caption, ‘I am also waiting for my Indian visa like this.’ 

Usman Khawaja is getting delayed in getting the Indian visa.

Usman Khawaja will leave for India on Thursday, he
could not catch a flight to India on Tuesday. He will leave for India on Thursday. Except for Usman Khawaja, the rest of the players left for India from Sydney on Tuesday. Cricket Australia, in a conversation with Wide World of Sports, hoped that Usman Khawaja’s visa would be cleared and he would fly to India on Thursday.

Usman Khwaja was born in Islamabad. He has played 56 Tests and 40 ODIs for Australia so far. Khawaja has scored more than 4000 runs in Test matches, while he has scored more than 1500 runs in ODIs. Usman has 13 centuries in the Test. The first Test match of the 4-match series between India and Australia will be played in Nagpur from 9 February.
