The shocking incident took place on February 7 in Hassan’s area of ​​the city where a delivery boy was killed and his body was burnt. According to the police, to avoid the murder the accused Hemant Dutt allegedly kept the body at his residence for three days before burning it. Hemant had ordered a secondhand iPhone.

Significantly, when the delivery boy reached Hemant’s house to deliver the secondhand iPhone, the accused asked the delivery boy to sit inside. He told her that he would soon return from his room with the money. However, instead of the money, the accused came out with a knife and allegedly stabbed the delivery boy several times.

After the incident, the accused kept the dead body tied in a sack at his residence for three days. He planned to burn the body at some point on the outskirts of the town. To destroy the evidence, he bought petrol from a nearby petrol pump and took the body on his two-wheeler to a nearby railway station, where he burnt it. However, in the CCTV footage, he was caught buying petrol and carrying the body. Hassan police arrested the accused after an investigation.
