News agency Reuters quoted a source as saying that India’s annual pre-budget economic survey is expected to have a GDP growth rate of 6-6.8% for 2023-24. In the government survey, it can be said that under the baseline scenario, the growth rate for 2023-24 can be seen at 6.5%. It will be the slowest in three years.
Projecting a 6.8 percent growth rate in 2024, the
International Monetary Fund (IMF) also said on Tuesday that it expects some slowdown in the Indian economy in the next financial year and the growth rate during the current financial year ending March 31. It is estimated to be 6.8 percent to 6.1 percent. The World Economic Outlook update of the IMF states that the growth rate in India will decline from 6.8 percent in 2022 to 6.1 percent in 2023, before reaching 6.8 percent in 2024.
