Someone handed over the phone to the actor at the airport and said that brother will talk to you. Rishi Kapoor thought that there must be some fan and picked up the phone. He came to know that it is a call from the underworld don Dawood Ibrahim who wants to meet him. This story is from March 1988.

1993 was the time before the Mumbai bomb blasts, and criminal cases were registered against Dawood. The actor had told in an interview with India TV, ‘Don said that I want to meet you, will you be able to meet over tea? I said – I go to the hotel and check in, then I will tell you. Dawood was a dangerous gangster, yet Rishi Kapoor had a special reason for meeting him. The actor had said, ‘We do learn from people as actors. I did not understand that there is anything wrong with this. Don met Rishi Kapoor, and he took care of him a lot.

Interestingly, Don wanted to meet as well as was afraid. Actually, he didn’t want anyone to know about his house, so when Rishi Kapoor came to meet Don, he first took him around the streets of Dubai and took him to meet Don when he got a call. Rishi Kapoor felt that maybe he does not want us to know the way to his house. Dawood had sent a Rolls Royce car for him.

when he met Dawood, he took care of him a lot and told the real thing. He referred to Rishi’s film ‘Tawaif’, which was based on the issue of women empowerment, in which the actor played a character named Dawood, who stops Rati Agnihotri’s character from becoming a tawaif and brings her back to normal life. Is. Rishi had said, ‘He was very happy that his name was properly illuminated in the film.’ It is said that for this reason Dawood also liked Rishi Kapoor.

Rishi Kapoor had a conversation with Dawood for about 4 hours. He asked the don to come back to Mumbai and advised him to surrender himself to the police and RAW. Don said on this that I will not get justice. I have gone against many people. First, they would want to kill me, so I will not be able to come. Don confessed his crime in front of Rishi and said I did not kill anyone myself, I had got him killed because that man had done wrong. He had said wrong things in the name of Allah, so I thought he should be punished.

The role of Dawood Ibrahim was played in the film ‘D-Day’
Raj Kapoor’s son Rishi Kapoor played the role of Dawood in the film ‘D-Day’. The actor has told about meeting Dawood in his autobiography ‘Khullam Khulla’. Mumbai-born Rishi Kapoor died on 30 April 2020 at the age of 67 due to cancer. If reports are to be believed, 67-year-old Dawood Ibrahim is still alive and lives in hiding in Karachi, Pakistan.
