Proposal sent to Lieutenant Governor to hold Mayor elections in Delhi, elections may be held on February 13-14

The Delhi Government has sent a proposal to the Lieutenant Governor to hold the mayoral elections on February 13 or 14. Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia has sent a proposal on behalf of the Urban Development Department.

New Delhi. The Delhi Government has sent a proposal to the Lieutenant Governor regarding the holding of mayoral elections. A proposal has been sent to hold mayoral elections on 13 or 14 February. Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia has sent a proposal on behalf of the Urban Development Department. In fact, the results of the MCD elections had come in December. The MCD had called the first meeting on 6 January, the second on 24 January and the third on 6 February. But all three times the meeting had to be postponed due to a ruckus by the members of the BJP and Aam Aadmi Party.

The Aam Aadmi Party had taken refuge in the Supreme Court for the election of the Mayor in Delhi and had placed five demands on it. There will be a hearing on this matter on 13 February. Voting for councilors in 250 wards was held on December 4 and results came on December 7. In this, Aam Aadmi Party won 134 seats and BJP won 104 seats.

Delhi’s Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said that Bharatiya Janata Party was forcibly creating a ruckus in the House and because of that the meeting had to be postponed. She wants to rule forcibly in MCD. On the other hand, the BJP also accused you of saying that the Kejriwal government wants to stop the works of Delhi, it is repeatedly creating hurdles in the mayoral elections. Aam Aadmi Party leader Durgesh Pathak has said that the elections were postponed again and again. The BJP has tried a lot, but the mayor, deputy mayor, and members in Delhi will be from the Aam Aadmi Party only, no matter when the elections are held.
