1. Coach Rahul Dravid prepared a masterplan to deal with Australia
2. Two players entrusted with the responsibility of playing attacking cricket against Australian spinners

New Delhi. The first match of the India Australia Border Gavaskar Trophy between India and Australia will be played in Nagpur from 9 February. In this match, not one, but two hitmen will be seen from Team India. Yes, Indian cricket team coach Rahul Dravid has made a foolproof plan to wipe out Australia. Dravid has given a special responsibility to both captain Rohit Sharma and former captain Virat Kohli. Coach Dravid has asked Rohit and Virat to play aggressive cricket against Australia’s bowlers. Australia’s number-1 spinner Nathan Lyon will be on target.

The pitch will be helpful to the spin bowlers in the Nagpur Test between India and Australia. In such a situation, Nathan Lyon can prove to be the biggest threat to India. Team India’s head coach Rahul Dravid entrusted the responsibility of overcoming the Lion’s challenge to Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. Dravid told both of them to play sweep shot against Lion and if there is a chance, not miss to fire against him.

Virat-Rohit is practicing sweep shots,
this is the reason why batsmen like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and KL Rahul are also practicing reverse sweep along with sweep in the net session. So that we can use it against Lion if needed. In the last Test series, Rishabh Pant also introduced a class of kangaroo bowlers similarly. Dravid wants the Indian batsman to try the same trick that Pant used against Australia.

Lions can be a big threat to
India’s Nathan Lyon has taken 94 wickets at an average of 34 in 22 Tests against India. The Australian off-spinner has taken 5 wickets in 5 innings 21 times in Tests. Out of this, one-third i.e. 7 times he has done this against India.

In the last 2 years, the Indian top order has shown trouble in front of spin bowlers in Tests. In the last 1 decade, India has lost all the tests at home. Among them, the spin bowlers of the opposition team dominated India. Rohit Sharma has been dismissed 25 times in 45 Tests, and Virat Kohli 57 times against spin bowlers. That is, both of them have trouble facing spin bowlers.

Dravid has taken a break from this and asked Indian batsmen to play attacking cricket. That’s why in net practice, Rohit is playing sweep shot and instead of keeping the ball down, he is firing in the air. The thinking is clear that Australia’s spin bowlers have to be pushed on the backfoot from the very first ball. So that they do not dominate.
