India has jumped 10 spots in terms of internet speed, know which number our country is

Broadband Internet Speed Ranking of India: Thanks to Reliance Jio and Airtel, the 5G release is catching up. India jumped 10 places in average mobile speed globally in January, after which it moved from 79th position to 69th in December. This information has been given in a report on Monday. According to network intelligence and connectivity insights provider Ookla, the country has increased its rank globally by two places (from 81st in December to 79th in January) for overall average fixed broadband speed.
The overall fixed median download speed in India saw a slight increase from 49.14 Mbps in December to 50.02 Mbps in January. In November, India ranked 105th globally in average mobile speed.
Ookla also recorded an average mobile download speed of 29.85 Mbps in January this year, which is better than 25.29 Mbps in December 2022. The UAE leads the overall global average mobile speed, while Papua New Guinea has risen 24 places in rank globally.
For fixed broadband download speeds, Singapore continues to hold the top spot, while Cyprus has jumped 20 places in the global rank. Meanwhile, Reliance Jio’s 5G services have gone live in over 236 cities, becoming the first and only telecom operator to reach such a wide network in a short period.
