New Delhi। Former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan has got bail in the court contempt case। He arrived in court on Monday to appear on his own। Khan said that he respects the court। He appeared at Lahore High Court at around 5:30 pm। After a hearing for a while, the Lahore court granted Khan bail। Earlier, the court rejected his bail application, increasing his risk of going to jail। A four-member team was formed for his arrest।
In fact, the bail of former Prime Minister of the country, Imran Khan, for failing to attend the hearing of a case involving protests outside the Election Commission by an anti-terrorism court in Pakistan Was rejected on Wednesday। Khan was expected to be arrested after this decision। Imran Khan then appeared in Saywan court on Monday। Activists of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf ( PTI ) staged a protest last year in a banned financing case after Khan was disqualified by the Election Commission of Pakistan ( ECP )। In October last year, the police started a case under anti-terrorism laws and the former Prime Minister was on interim bail in the case।
It was the case
On Wednesday, Judge Raja Jawad Abbas of the Anti-Terrorism Court ( ATC ) in Islamabad commented that Khan was given enough time to appear in court, But he failed to do so। At the same time, Khan’s lawyer Babar Awan urged the court in his arguments that Khan be given one-time exemption from personal muscle, Because Khan has not yet fully recovered since last year’s attack। The judge refused to accept the petition and ordered Khan to appear, saying that a “powerful person” like Court Khan” Can not provide any relief that is not given to a common person। Finally, the judge refused to extend interim bail।
The court had said that if he is ill, bring him from ambulance to court। Right there, The Islamabad High Court ( IHC ) barred a banking court from passing any directive on Khan’s bail petition in the case of the Federal Investigation Agency for restricted financing against PTI। Last year the ECP ruled in a financing case against PTI that the party had received restricted financing। Later, the Federal Investigation Agency ( FIA ) had filed a case against Khan and other party leaders as signatories / beneficiaries of the PTI account, where the funds were deposited।
