New Delhi. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has made a big announcement for Railways in Budget 2023. This time a budget provision of Rs 2.4 lakh crore has been made for the Railways. This is almost 9 times more than the 2013-14 budget. In 2013, a budget provision of about Rs 63,363 crore was made for the Railways. This is the highest-ever capital outlay for the Railways.

The only thing that can reach every section and every district of the country is the train and the government can give a lot of attention to railways in this budget. Railway has changed very fast in the last few years and it is being continuously improved. Indian Railways plans to introduce a newly designed Vista Dome LHB coach on tourist routes. With this, passengers will get a great traveling experience. It is expected that it can be included in today’s budget.

In the country, after considering the train as an example of lateness, the emphasis is on speed. Bullet train work is going on, but right now the government’s main emphasis is to take Vande Bharat to every major route in the country. Apart from this, the emphasis is on reducing the cost of transporting goods by road. For this, the work of the freight corridor can be further accelerated. For this, tracks will have to be laid for goods trains to run in many major states of the country.

Emphasis on making light wagon coaches
To expand the railway, it is obvious that a lot will have to be spent on infra. Electricity consumption will also have to be increased for the freight corridor because running long-distance freight trains on oil would be a loss deal. That is, the infra of electricity will also have to be prepared for the railways. There can also be more focus on making aluminum coaches, as they are much lighter than iron coaches and can also bear more weight. This time there has been a demand to increase the money on infra by 20 percent.
The train will fly away with 20 percent of the budget
Budget experts say that this time the Railways is expected to get a huge amount. It is being speculated that to increase the expenditure on infra, 20 percent of the budget can be given to the Railways alone. In the budget of the current financial year, Rs 1,40,367 crore was given to the Railways.
