Examination was conducted in two shifts
Significantly, the teacher recruitment examination was conducted in 2 shifts on Saturday by the Rajasthan Employee Selection Board। These teacher recruitment exams were conducted in the first phase ( class for first to fifth grade teacher ) and second level ( for teacher from sixth to eighth grade )। These exams were carried out from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and from 3 pm to 5 pm। Deputy Commissioner of Police ( ex ) Amrita Duhan stated that the papers received from the arrested people are not meeting the actual paper। Duhan said that raids were carried out at Udaigarh Marriage Palace in Mandor area hours before the examination took place। He told that we had received secret information that the question paper has been leaked by some students living there। The police officer said that all the students caught were the first shift exams.
Paper bought for 40 lakhs
He said, ‘ We caught 30 candidates and 7 others including 10 students who were trying to leak the question paper. ’ ’ Police have seized laptops and printers and some pages that have written answers। Amrita Duhan further explained that the gang leader has been identified as Suresh Thori, a Ramalwada resident of Osian Tehsil। Police claimed that Thori had bought question papers from Jalore resident Praveen Bishnoi for Rs 40 lakh and paid an advance of Rs 10 lakh। Duhan said that Bishnoi is absconding and among those arrested are the owner and manager of the marriage hall, There are computer operator Mukesh Joshi and three others who were given the responsibility of solving the question paper.
Deal was in 3 to 8 lakhs
He reported, ‘ we have filed FIR under Section-420 ( Fraud ) and 120B ( Criminal Conspiracy ) of IPC as well as Section-10 ( 2 ) of Rajasthan Public Examination Act। Duhan said that Thori allegedly made a deal to give the paper to the students for Rs 3 to 8 lakh। He said, ‘ We are also investigating whether Thori knew the question papers were genuine or fake, Also finding out that the former question paper is not connected to the leaks cases even if its strings are not connected. ’ ’ In this way, mobile internet service in Jodhpur was postponed due to examination। Significantly, there was an uproar in September 2021 when the question papers of the Rajasthan Teacher Qualification Examination ( Rit ) were leaked and the examination was finally canceled.
