Dalai lama: Buddhist leader Dalai Lama has nominated an 8-year-old Mongolian child as the third-highest teacher of Tibetan Buddhism. Around 600 Mongolians gathered to celebrate their new spiritual leader, The Times reported. Pictures shared on social media showed a child wearing red robes and a mask meeting the 87-year-old Dalai Lama.

The religious leader’s rebirth ceremony was held in Dharamsala, Himachal Pradesh, where 600 Mongolians gathered to celebrate their new spiritual leader. The Dalai Lama also lives here.
