Women’s Premier League: RCB girls battered by Haley Mathews’ storm, Mumbai won the battle 5 overs in advance

New Delhi. In the Women’s Premier League match played at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai, Mumbai Indians badly crushed Royal Challengers Bangalore (Mumbai Indians vs Royal Challengers Bangalore). The Mumbai team won this match by nine wickets with 5.4 overs remaining. The hero of the victory was the opening batter, Haley Mathews. He made the match one-sided by playing stormy innings and did not give Bangalore any chance to return.

Batting first, Royal Challengers Bangalore, captained by Smriti Mandhana, were all out for 155 runs in the 19th over. While chasing the target, the Mumbai team lost the only wicket in the form of Yastika Bhatia. Haley Mathews scored an unbeaten 77 off 38 balls with the help of 13 fours and a six. Nat Sciver Brunt hit an unbeaten 55 off 29 balls. In his innings, he hit nine fours and one six.

This is Mumbai Indians’ second consecutive win in the tournament. With this, Harmanpreet Kaur’s team has won both its consecutive matches in the tournament. No batter could play a big inning, due to which his team had to face defeat.
