Team India suffered a humiliating defeat in the second match of the current ODI series against Australia. The main reason for this defeat of the team has been its flop batting. Indian top order is failing in both ODIs. Especially Suryakumar Yadav is being discussed everywhere. Why not because he got out on the very first ball in both matches without opening the account. Not only this, not a single half-century has come out of his bat in the last 14 ODI innings. Now Rohit Sharma has also issued a statement breaking the silence regarding his batting. Along with this, the Indian captain also spoke about the return of Shreyas Iyer.

Indian captain Rohit Sharma made several statements in front of the media after the team’s defeat in Vizag. He blamed the Indian batsmen for the defeat in the presentation ceremony. At the same time in the press conference, he said that Suryakumar Yadav knows that he has to perform well and the team management will give him constant opportunities. Along with this, while talking about Surya, Rohit has also given a big update about Shreyas Iyer. He said that we do not know about the return of Shreyas Iyer. His place is vacant, so we will field Surya. He has done very well in limited overs and I have said many times that whoever has the ability will get opportunities.

Will Suryakumar Yadav play in the third ODI as well?
Rohit Sharma further said that he (Suryakumar Yadav) knows that he will have to perform well in ODIs as well. I have said that players who have potential should never feel that they are not given enough opportunities. He got out early in the last two matches but he needs to give seven, eight or ten matches in a row to get more comfortable. Right now he is getting a chance if someone is injured or not available. The job of the team management is to give opportunities to the players and when the management feels that they are not comfortable or are not able to score runs, then it will be thought about. We are not on that path yet.

It is clear from this statement of Rohit Sharma that in Chennai also he will choose Suryakumar Yadav for number four. That is, Ishaan Kishan, who has not been able to do much since his double century, will have to sit on the bench. Ishaan was also a flop in the first ODI. The Indian team missed out on winning the series after losing the second ODI in Vizag. At the same time, the Kangaroo team has equalized 1-1. Now the last and deciding match of the series will be played in Chennai on 22 March. Both teams will go there with the intention of winning the final. The decider match of the series can be very exciting.
