IND vs AUS: Indian batsman was badly caught in the spinners’ spinning back by losing 7 wickets in the first session on the first day of Indore Test। In just 33.2 overs, the entire Indian team was reduced to 109 runs। Many questions were arising that the Indian team got caught in its own trap, the Indian batsmen could not play spin, the team’s preparation was not good। But all these answers were rejected by team batsman coach Vikram Rathod and responded unscathed। Rathod gave his answer as well as warned the Australian team that had taken a lead of 47 runs by the end of the first day.
Team India batting coach Vikram Rathore said after piling on 109 runs in the first innings of the host team, The day was disappointing for Indian batsmen as the pitch was taking a turn far above their expectations। On the same pitch, Australia lost four wickets to the stumps and scored 156 runs and gained a significant lead of 47 runs। In the first hour of the game, the ball was taking turns, which many criticized the pitch। The Indian team was dismissed in just over a season with five wicket shocks by Australia left-handed spinner Matt Kuhnemann for 16 runs.
Nobody batted poorly…
However, Rathore said that playing on the turning pitch at home Sarjamins is the strong side of the team। This is definitely a challenging wicket। It is taking more turns than we had expected। This may have been due to moisture, the ball was taking a fast turn in the morning। We could have scored more runs than this, but I don’t think anyone played bad cricket। It was a disappointing day for us as a batting unit। Surely as a batting unit you can get out sometime but we still prefer to play on the turning pitch। This is our strength, as we are very strong in this unit। To be honest, it is a different wicket of its kind.
Rathore further stated that, I do not think the wickets of the initial two matches were bad। It is probably a bit dry as we expected and we saw it too। It had a much higher turn on the first day of the Test match, which was more than expected। The curators barely got time to prepare the wicket। It was Ranji session here and a very late match was decided which was transferred from Dharamshala here। He did not get a lot of time। As the day progressed, the wicket would have become easier। Osman Khwaja of Australia scored 60 runs in 147 balls and the pitch did not appear to take such a fast turn as in the morning.

Warned australian team
Asked whether the batsmen deviated from their tactics, they did not respond, saying that, it is not so। The plan was to rely on its ‘ defense ’ and wait for the loose ball to score as many runs as possible। It remained one in those days when every shot of yours went into the hands of fielders। The day was disappointing for us। At the same time, the Australian team has taken the lead of 47 runs and Rathore also said that, Taking the lead is not a big issue as they will have to bat in the fourth innings on this pitch as well। Now the challenge will be to cover them at least on the score। We have to score well in the second innings.
