IND vs AUS: The Indian cricket team is currently fighting against Australia in the last match of the four-match Test series. Two days’ play of this match has come to an end. In the first innings, the Australian team scored 480 runs. For Australia, Usman Khawaja played a brilliant inning of 180 runs. Also, 114 runs came off the bat of Cameron Green. This player made a big statement after his century innings.
Cameron Green’s big statement
Australia all-rounder Cameron Green was finally able to convert a half-century into a century for the 7th time and after lifting this burden, he is now feeling like a Test cricketer. Green, playing his 20th Test, scored 114 in the first innings of the fourth and final Test against India. This is his first century in Test cricket. Usman Khawaja played an inning of 180 runs, which helped Australia to post a strong score of 480 runs in the first innings.
Now I have become a test cricketer
Green said after the match that when that kind of burden is off your back, then you feel like a Test cricketer. So it was great to score a hundred here. This is special for me. The Indian bowlers, especially Umesh Yadav, bowled some loose deliveries to Green, taking advantage of which the all-rounder was able to score quick runs.
Green said that I think a little luck also supported me so that I reached 70 to 80 and then 90 runs fast. That helped me a bit and I didn’t get much time to think about the hundred. Green’s earlier highest score was 84 and hence his innings are certainly special. He said that this is a really special inning. Certainly getting close to a hundred at lunch (95 runs) felt like 40 minutes, like an hour and 40 minutes.
But I was batting with Ujji (Khwaja’s nickname) and I had an experienced player with me at the other end the whole time. He batted brilliantly and that helped me a lot.
