The Mumbai Indians on Wednesday declared India captain Hermanpreet Kaur as the captain of their women’s team ahead of the WPL’s opening season। Hermanpreet became the first cricketer to play 150 T20 matches, leading India’s campaign in the recently concluded Women’s T20 World Cup 2023। Harmanpreet also holds the record for the highest individual score in a knockout match at the Women’s World Cup। She scored 171 unbeaten runs against Australia in the 2017 Women’s ODI World Cup semi-finals.
